Founded in Lyon, France, SPORT emerged around 2011 as a tightly wound, emotionally charged indie-punk outfit. From the outset, the band combined urgent “noodley” guitar lines and heartfelt lyrics—a sound drawing from the emo revival and DIY punk scenes, yet firmly rooted in their own French-scene soil.

After a hiatus, SPORT made a notable return in 2025 with In Waves—their first full-length in nine years—underscoring their commitment to DIY values, independent labels, and a global underground network of passionate listeners.
