Side a / side b with BIRDS WITH ARMS

A quick intro to Seattle, WA’s BIRDS WITH ARMS

Not gonna lie, these guys caught us off-guard with the amount of head bopping they had us do! Read on to learn more!

What’s your Favorite track from the EP?

Favorite track? 1.. 2.. 3.. Fireworks!

What artists or band influenced your sound?

Daniel: I'd say The Cure. I basically just turn the chorus pedal on and hope for the best!

Matt: I'd say Pup. Musically sophisticated, they're super scrappy and they make really catchy songs.

Belle: Elephant Gym. Bass tapping. Chvrches. Melody. Oh God, Carly Rae Jepsen.. I like pop music!

Favourite piece of gear used on the EP?

Daniel: My favorite piece of gear that we used on the album was this Boss DSD-2 digital sampler delay.

How did you address the munchies while recording?

Belle: Pizza

Matt: Pizza

Daniel: Pizza

What do you hope nobody notices on the recording?

Matt: I mixed all the 4-string bass out of phase. I reamped it all through the same pedal so I was like why would it be out of phase? But it was and I didn't do anything cause they already signed off on it!

What was the final boss of this album?

Belle: I think it was probably Disappear! The first time I ever sang that song was when we tracked it and I hated it so much that I went back and tracked it again…
