Often shortened to just Shmap’n Shmazz, the record was released when the members — Tim Kinsella, Mike Kinsella, Victor Villarreal, Sam Zurick, and Davey von Bohlen — were mere teenagers, with future bands such as American Football, The Promise Ring, Joan of Arc, Owls, Owen and more but a twinkle in the eye of their collective discographies.
